Camp Carp

We spent a week in Carpinteria, CA with the Macdonald family.  We camped right by the beach.  It was a kids paradise with being outside all day and night, playing with cousins, bike rides, the beach, campfires.  etc.  It was so fun!

They loved these wagon rides.  Grandma even giddied-up.
Travis and his brothers and sisters reverence this ice cream shop, Fosters.  They grew up going here.
Jaxon and Shep
Meda and Aunt Jo Jo
Meda, Annie, Isaac and Bear
Nacho Libre (Tmacdaddy) vs. Jilian Michaels (Christa)
Travis challenged his sister Christa (who is an exercise guru, runs marathons and is in awesome shape) to a mini triathlon on the beach.  Here he is warming it up.
athletes on your marks...
get set... go.  And Nacho takes the lead.
He brings it home.
2nd leg, push-ups.
3rd leg, a quick swim.
It was a good competition.  Tmac made me proud.
Steve and Shep on Steve's paddle board (Shep's favorite part of the trip).  This paddle board is so awesome.  I love that you can take the kids out on it.  Someday I will get the guts to try it!

Bear and Olivia
Meda loved finding these huge sand crabs.  Meda and Conner getting buried.  They came out of a tent one day and said,  "We love each other and now we are getting married."
These boys LOVE their smashball

Evan and Bear
Meda said her favorite thing was taking naps on the beach and Daddy holds her.

fun times at the campsite.
The girls get really excited to go to the thrift stores in Ventura.  All the little girls got purses and Meda scored this wedding dress.
Meda's signature move.  She would say "are you ready to go to the beach.... augh augh augh."  Her favorite was when aunt Christa would do it with her.  She still laughs about it.

Travis grew the stach for two reasons; 1- he thought he was pretty funny.  2- It was an homage to his dad who always had one while travis was growing up.
All of the boys in their Chile hats that Grandma and Grandpa brought back from their mission.

I love spending time with the Macdonald family.  It is so fun being together.  Especially having Grandma  and Grandpa home.

So here is Bear at Carp........ trouble.  Constant, cute trouble.
We were so lucky to get Grandma on the way home.  Meda was in heaven riding right by her side the whole 8 hours.
